Porridge Radio the coolest underground DIY bedroom indie pop band out there.
Kicking off their set at Brighton Dome's Spectrum Festival, they joked about how little practise they normally do and how much they had done for this set.
Lead singer, Dana Margolin graced the stage with her atmospheric and earthy vocals backed with 2/6 of the band. Their youthful, mysterious androgynous look alongside their experimental, unique DIY pop sound creates a fresh perspective on the scene.
Porridge Radio aren't a band that are afraid of shying away from what really matters as their lyrics stare reality right in the face.
As a rising local band, I look forward to see where they go with their individual sound.
