Today marks the launch of a new theme for AVRA. We're opening submissions for the 'Creative Issue'. It's most definitely the broadest themes we've ever gone for. It's strange being a zine about creativity and asking people to just be creative but sometimes it's necessary to allow yourself to hone a skill or free your mind.
This issue will be all about what it's like being a 'creative', navigating a world with closing or heavy doors, delving into life as a freelancer, being part of a DIY movement and just exploring what being creative means and why people don't feel like they can claim that title.
We've got some interesting things lined up for this issue including creative Instagram challenges and interviews with artists. But as always we want to hear what you have to say. Send in your poetry, personal essays, articles, music, illustrations, art, films, photography and we'll make it work.
